2010 Western Canadian College Open Volleyball Championships

For the second straight year the Western Canadian Volleyball Championships were held in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.  SIAST Kelsey Campus Played host to 25 teams from Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta.

Men's teams from the Prairie Athletic Conference stepped up and were three of the four teams in the semi-finals.  The men's final saw the Kelsey Amaruks face off again league rival Great Plains Sun Dogs.  The Kelsey men captured gold in a thrilling final (25-17, 23-25, 15-9).

In women's action the Kelsey women found themselves in the final for the third straight year.  Looking for a "threepeat" they were up against the number one seeded team in the MCAC, Canadian Mennonite University.  Kelsey battled hard but they were no match for the CMU ladies who took the game in two sets (25-19, 25-14).

In other action the ACC women edged out the Ambrose Lions in two sets to  capture for the second straight year, and the St. Boniface men came out on top over the Millar College Edge in two.
